Mary Albert Darling (M.A.), assistant professor of communication, regularly speaks outside the class room in a variety of contexts from seminars to formal addresses. She is a consultant for students involved in public speaking outside the classroom. She teaches courses in public speaking and interpersonal and business communication.
Michelle Y. Dawson ( M.A.), instructor in communication, is station manager for WSAE/KTGG and award winning news anchor and reporter. She conducts market research for WSAE. She teaches speech, announcing and audio production and advertising.
Dr. Wallis "Sailor" Metts (Ph.D.), professor of communication, is an award winning children's writer and editor and has publication credits in over 60 periodicals including newspapers and trade, professional and popular magazines. Dorie Morgan-Shelby (M.A.), assistant professor of communication, has extensive broadcast experience as TV anchor, reporter, and producer. She is a reporter for WLNS (TV 6) and WKHM (970AM). She teaches reporting, video production, broadcast programming and speech.
Robert Woods (J.D., Ph.D.), assistant professor of communication, came to Spring Arbor University from Yellowstone Baptist College, where he developed an online program and was also director of leadership studies. He teaches courses in speech, communication law and ethics, and research, and is helping to develop an online masters program. His publishing credits include articles about online education and environments in Christian Scholar's Review, Open Learning, International Journal of Instructional Media, and Journal of Information, Law and Technology.
